Pennies are worth 1 cent and nickels are worth 5 cents. Counting coins is just counting in steps: nickels skip-count by 5s, pennies count by 1s.
How to use it
Count the nickels first (5, 10, 15…), then add the pennies. This is the first step in a money journey that leads to counting coins to a dollar and counting money for grade 2.
