Skip counting is early multiplication

When a child counts “5, 10, 15, 20,” they’re really finding 5 × 1, 5 × 2, 5 × 3, 5 × 4 — they just don’t know it yet. Fluent skip counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s makes multiplication facts feel familiar later, and it’s the engine behind telling time (by 5s) and counting money (by 5s and 10s).

How to use it
